FREEZING in NYC

Today is a very cold day in NY! 32 degrees to be exact and wind gusts up to 32mph..ugh I hate this this weather!!  It was about the same temperature a couple of days ago when my hubby and I decided have a double date night with my best friend and her boyfriend..Our date night centered around seeing the tree in Rockefeller Center and as we waited on the train platform we started having doubts on if this was a smart decision..For any of you planning to travel into the city in the winter know that it's a little warmer and not as windy as you're surrounded by huge buildings..It was a cold night but we made the best of it and had a fun time and I think our drinks warmed us up a bit :)

First Stop: The Keg Room

Located on 53rd W 36th Street..This is a really nice spot to grab a drink..it just opened up 3weeks ago but has the feel that it's been around for quite some time. The staff was great and the ambiance was nice..it's known for having A LOT of different beers as it is called the "Keg" Room but they have liquor as well..My friend and I decided to try their martinis..I had the Jolly Rancher Martini (the yellow)..while my friend decided on the Caramel Apple Martini(Red)..both were DELISH!..Stop in if you're ever in the area..

 Next Stop: Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center

I was hesitant and sooooo nervous that I would fall and bust my you know what and that wouldn't have been cute..but it was SOOoo much fun! It's definitely a cute, romantic date idea..even if you're not in the NY area..find a local one by you! 

And Then: Horse Carriage Ride!

Our horse carriage ride just took us around the are of Rockefeller Center but I think the ones that go through central park would give you nice scenery..it was nice and different but honestly..I felt soo bad for the poor horse :( .. Idt I would do that again..I kept asking the driver how many breaks the horse gets , I think he was getting annoyed with me..haha..O well!

 We ended the night with dinner and more drinks at Dallas BBQ's..IMO the food is okay..guys LOVE the food because there's good wings..steak..ribs..etc..but the drink are sooo good!! Texas size..with shots in them..Hope you enjoyed!
